Re-flash Problems?

My 2011 450 was re-flashed in November. The truck has 6,600 miles on it now and I have been experiencing rough shifts and lurches between first and second. Also, my mileage on the highway is 13mpg. I noticed these problems soon after the re-flash, but thought there might be a learning process for the motor and trans. I thinking something didn't upload properly. Any ideas?

Thanks, Jim

I received two flashes since the 10B17 (mid December).
Maybe you need those?
Ford CS contacted my dealer's diesel SM and requested the latest PCM and TCM updates be installed.

Not sure if a dealer will just install or if some other action has to be taken.

it's not possible for an engine program (flash) to "not upload properly". The program only works as a whole. If there were an error in upload, it would simply retransmit. If the error was too severe for a retransmit, they would have to replace the PCM, or the truck would not operate *at all*. That's just how firmware works - I work with the same process on a daily basis.

You have something else going on. It is possible that the computer itself has an error, or any number of sensors that the computer relies on. Your best course of action (as stated above) is to take it to the dealer.

I have an F450 but it did not require a reflash. I have occasionally had a "lurch" on 1-2 or 2-3 but it is not consistent. I don't spend much time worrying about the shift quality because I expect it to shift hard. I mean - just feathering the accelerator my truck is in 3rd or 4th gear by the time I cross the intersection, so with that much reduction and torque I don't expect it to shift like a lexus. I could not speak to the change you have witnessed but it is quite possible that ford changed the programming so that throttle response is different and that may well be what you are noticing.
