who runs these? you like them? i want 35's after i lift my truck but i like the look and PRICE of the swamper ltb, so i may go with the 33x13.50-15's. just wanted to see if anybody ran them and what they were like.
The LTB's are a fairly OK deal. They're great compared to most compremise mud tires as far as tread pattern and clean out. But they're not radials so they hum and bounce more than a radial you'd pay 30 bucks more for. The size your talking about (33/13.5-15) I had, real good and bawdy looking. I recommend them, for about 10,000 miles.
I`ve got a friend that has some and he loves them. I`ve seen them in action and they pull darn good. Couldn`t tell you about hwy wear. When we went to get his, 34" tall was as tall as they came. They may have some taller by now!! If you look in my gallery, it`s the green Toy that has them. Give you an idea what they look like on wheels. Those are 34"- 10.50w x 15. hope this helps!!
I don't have the LTBs - yet. I have been looking for tires to replace my Interco TRXUS and came across the LTB. I have researched these tires for about seven months and I know that I am going to get a set in the next month or so! Everyone I have talked/typed to has loved these tires. A fellow in a Land Rover club mounted the 34x10.50 r16 size on his truck and loves them. He says they have 18/32" worth of tread left after hard use since mounting them in August. They start out with 22/32" tread on them, so that is good wear for a mud tire. He mentioned a bit of flat spotting, but not terrible bad like many will have you believe. I like the larger tread blocks the LTB has compared to the TRXUS. I'm personally hoping the LTBs will be a bit loud at highway speed, because I like the sound of a good tire rumbling along. I have yet to get more than 20k miles out of ANY mud type tire I run on my 94' F250, be it a BFG Mud or a TRXUS or a Dunlop Mud Rover, so if these LTBs last 10-15 k miles, I'll be quite happy.
