If there is no oil at the connector at the ICP, is that a good sign that it's still good? My truck just started shaking when easy on the gas at it shifts into OD and is now idling rough. I was hoping it was the ICP but thinking its my injector, have a code for #8 cylinder low balance contribution.
my truck is doing a similar thing, easy on the pedal, in O.D. start a slight ascent and it begins shuttering, not continuosly and not everytime. However when it does happen if I depress the tow/haul switch it goes away. I did have a low contribution code for #3. When I cleared this code and test drove the truck, it did the same thing once or twice, however it did not set a code. I also checked for transmisssion codes and had none. Think I'll change oil / filter and also fuel filters this weekend to see if that helps.
i had the same problem turned out to be an injector. another guy on here had also the same problem and it was the FICM so you might wanna check those areas first IMO
FICM is running at 48.5volts. I do suspect injectors however believed it would throw a code each time the problem presents itself, perhaps not. I just don't much like the cost of the injectors, if I'm doing one I'll do them all and at 200.00each, that adds up in a hurry.
Something else that I have noticed recently is that when the headlights are on and I roll up the window, the headlights dim then swing to brighter than normal and finally settle back to a normal state. Perhaps whatever is causing this electrical anomoly is also adversly effecting the runability? Batteries are both strong with a full charge and the alternator seems to be keeping up. battery voltage as tracked by A.E. is 13.5 - 14.2 while driving.
Also, the truck idles perfectly smooth and doesn't seem to be rough while running down the road either.
