I have a 2008 F-450 Lariat and absolutely love it. I have had it about a year now and only have put about 4K miles on it (used mainly just to pull my fifthwheel). I do drive it on occasion just to keep it running correctly. If I had one downside, I would say mileage. Those 488 gears don't assist much with that, but it sure pulls nice. I have 22K on it now and just hope it will last another 150K or so (that should only take me about 20 years to get to at my pace of driving it). -Glenn
The bad is the increased maintance unless you like getting under the hood and checking it out. Gotta stay on top of that. For me it is just fine. I am always checking all mine out.
It does that some getting used to, anything 08 and up is gonna be a learning curve.
MPG's are a little weaker than they should be due to the learning curve with emissons.
They are downside is this is not a city truck anymore. Excellent hwy/towing motor but too much city driving without working it will start to hurt afterwhile.
