Stuck at work..Please Help....

O.K. So this a.m. my starting sylenoid went out. I had to get to work so I did the old screw driver trick so that I could get there. Got a new sylenoid from auto parts store. Removed positive cable from passenger side battery. Replaced sylenoid, battery cable and now I have no power???? Not even a dome light. PLEASE HELP. Ohh yeah not that it matters a hole lot but it is a 96.

You did put the battery cable back on, right?

Do you have power to anything? Headlights, radio, anything? If you didn't disconnect both batteries, the circuit was still hot from the other battery. Did you see any sparks when you replaced the relay? Have you checked your fuses? Tried twisting the battery cables in case of a bad connection?

I'm betting you put the fuse links on the wrong post... They go on the one from the battery, not on the one going to the starter...

Yes I did reconnect the battery. Yes I did have a spark and the motor turned over for 1/2 a milli second because I accidently touch the terminals thinking the power was secure. Obviously it wasn't. What do you mean by ground the relay?

Make sure the bolts holding it to the inner fender are tight...

O.K. I fell like an IDIOT

Do all of the white/gray wires go on the "hot side" and only the red wire going to the starter go on the "power going out side". Because I touched them together that way and everything turned on the way it is supposed to, I think. I did not turn it over yet waiting to make sure. Thanks for all of the help.
