Its that time to get some new tires and I am thinking on getting some new wheels too. Question is what kind of offset do I need for 12.5" wide tires not to rub? I am running 285/75R16's right now and when I go full left it rubs hard enough to stall out the engine but no rub at all full right. Thanks for the information as always guys.
I don't know the answer but I do run 35x12.5x17 and I have no rub (Dana 60 front, 4" lift). Not sure the backspacing on my tires but if you still have no answer by the weekend I'll be pulling my wheels to check brakes so could measure for you.
Alternatively you can pull your wheel, measure current backspacing, and add spacers behind the wheel until it no longer rubs at full lock. Then add the thickness of your spacers to the backspacing and you know how much you need to clear the springs.
