idle issues and running isues
so i have this f 150 with a 400 v8 and i have been having some issues with it. lately everytime i drive it it will be cruising along just fine runnin what seems to be ok then all the sudden i go to accelerate and it kinda hesitates a little then clunks and continues to do so everytime i get on or let off the gas.. and when i pull up to stop the idle drops way low like not wanting to run so i put it in neutral and the idle went to normal.
i was checking for vacuum leak so i sprayed the carb gasket and had the idle go up a little so i replaced the carb gaskets and eliminated a vacuum line leading to the cruise control that is no longer hooked up. ran great for a day or two then went back to doing the same thing only worse. now it wont idle in park or neutral either. pleease some body help me im stumped
