I'm going through an 83 351w out of a big bronco to put in my 66 bronco. It's a trail only rockrig that needs more torque than rpms. I'm going to keep the stock heads but would like a little more umph since I run propane and loose a little hp. Any suggestions? I've looked at one that was I believe an extreme 4x4 or something like that by Compeptition Cams I believe? I'm not really much of an engine guru so any help would be appreciated.
comp cam has a great variety in cams, you would obviously wanna look for something with a power range like idle-5000 or 1000-5000
mine has a little more lift but i got after market heads, my trucks not a 4x4 but its still a truck and want that low end torque
I am looking at a X4262H for my truck. It is one of the 4x4 cams and is real simular to the xtreme energy cam XE262H the 4x4 cam has a little more lift and lobe angle. I have aluminum heads, header, 5.13 gears. Haven't picked out an intake yet but I like that 4x4 cam at least on paper
