Run down on Injectors
Benefits include more power, hp and tq. Usually a slight mileage increase.
Detriments include more heat. More fuel just equals more heat. Usually more than your normal exhaust/intake mods can compete against. For your 1997 you would have to install an intercooler.
To drive the new fuel rate, you would need a new chip, or new programming for a current chip, that takes into consideration your higher flow volume. Specific to a 1997 truck would also be your high pressure oil pump if you were to go into Stage 2 injectors. You will usually get a check engine light due to the higher oil flow required to run the modified injectors and switching to a 99+ style high pressure oil pump will solve this problem.
Hope that helps...

I know you have to chip them but how far lets say on a 97 can you go before you have to up grade a clutch or turbo? also what turbo do you guys use? A lot of dodge guys stay with the holest turbos going up the scale to the HX-40,HX-50,HX-55. some use a small set of twins with the HX35 and ht3b.
How much will a auto and 5spd hold?
On a dodge with a stock clutch will hold about 280hp after that its will not hold.
stock auto I have heard guys holding 300hp if they don't use it every day. Also has anyone heard of a 250HP chip for a stroker. A guy I know said he was getting one
thanks
