Wastegate Lever Stuck, Help ASAP

I was just doing to maintenance on my 7.3 when I decided to remove the wastegate solenoid rod to check the movement of the wastegate... I was a bit sticky...

I think I moved the wastegate lever too far, now its stuck and WILL NOT move... what the hell did I do and how do I fix it? ASAP?

i posted a reply...but i thought you ment the actual lever from the wastegate. if it the lever on the housing, you can try using some WD40 and work the lever back and forth. from my knowledge there is nothing inside the compressor housing that would cause the wastegate to "hang up" good luck and let me know...

This is what the wastegate looks like in the housing. It will not rotate all the way around. This should help you figure out which way to pull the tang to close wastgate.

I have another post and I just asked this question, but I will here anyway... (other post is Bad MGS's, Maintenance Suggestions) or something similar.

It seems the solenoid rod moved quite easily when I reattached everything.. How much pressure does it take to actuate the solenoid and cause the rod to move... I'm just wondering if I need to replace the solenoid?

not sure of pressure...but you can take off the wastegate actuator and drill out the punch and turn the wastegate tighter(shorten the rod)...i did mine, but i had to keep loosening the rod because i couldnt get it hooked. i used an air compressor to push the rod out because holding it with vise grips was too hard. alot of guys also just remove the red line and plug it with a bolt...this way the wastegate wont open up except for pressure built up in the housing. i just tightened mine and left the red hose hooked up. good luck and let me know how you make out
