Do you find those make it tough to see at all? I find the Pillar already quite wide.

That is my concern as well, mainly for looking into the mirror... looks like it might overlap part of your view of the mirror, and not having ones to match the rear windows might look goofy (I have a crew cab).

I might have to price the ford ones as well, did not realize they even had these as an option.

I don't think there is much noise with the AVS. My windows are tinted, so I didn't need to go to large ones.

Do any of you with AVS have wind noise? I would not be happy with that unless it was very minimal.

Does anyone have the AVS 'Aerovisor' I think also refered to as Off Road. It looks larger which seems to me would allow the window to be open more, and shade more as well. But as low as they appear to go I wonder if it would interfere with the mirrors. And they only seem to be available for the fronts.

Do the in channel ones wear out your window seals? Like if you were to take em out in 5 or 10 years would the windows not seal well anymore? I dont know if I would prefer one or the other... I hate taping stuff on the outside but I would aslo not want to cram extra stuff up the window seals either.
I believe I had Ventshades. They werent ignorant loud, I just noticed the wind noise more after installing them. It drove me nuts, sounded like there was a seal leakin around the door.

Good point, if I order them soon I'll still wait for a warm day to put them on.

I do prefer the extra coverage of that style (they would seem to help branches and briers getting in the window as well), but have the same question as Trophy. I havent been able to find a picture of that type on a super duty, I want to see if it goes behind the mirror. I wouldnt want it to block the mirror from being able to fold back. And then there is the problem of only being available for the front doors, but I dont care if the back windows have em or not.

Anyone actually have the AVS aerovisor off road ones?

WEATHERTECH

I have WeatherTech on my truck and I like the fact they are in the window channel and the reason is I can take them off if I want to! Then put them right back on. I have had the outside stick on ones on other vehicles and they always broke. I like WeatherTech stuff thought have lots of their product and it has really stood up.

Q about the in-channel ones, will they mess with your window seals? Make it leak a few years later because they have loosened? Are they prone to fall out?

And the stick on ones - do they stick on the paint or the rubber material between the glass and the metal?

My AVS shades are on the rubber. The bottom of the shade tucks behind the mirror. I can post a couple pics if you want.

In channel ones dont fall out when the window is down, I didn't even pull the backing off the 2 sided tape & they have been in there for 2 years. No they dont ruin the w/strip.
No wind noise from the in channel ones, I got all 4 PUTCO for $80.00.
