I have a 1989 F150 300 2WD
I have had some problems with fuel not getting to the engine. I have found the pumps are OK with plenty of pressure. I replaced both the EEC and FP relays but the only way that the pump will kick in is when I manually force the contacts together which allows the EEC to activate. If I keep the contact together I can fire the truck up and all seems fine until I release the contact. My question is since nothing happens (gas) when I turn the switch unless I hold the contact does anyone think it could be the switch?
Thanks people,
Earl
Did you check the plugs that the relays go into? Try moving around the wires with the key on and see what happens. Does the check engine light come on when the relay is not pressed together?
