what is P with triangle button on dash?

what is P with triangle button on dash?

2007 F250 Lariat Super Duty CC PSD On the dash of my truck to the right of the instrument cluster below the middle AC vent about half way down is a round button with a P on it, and to the right of the P is a solid white triangle which is underlined. The button is a on and off switch, I cannot find it anywhere in any manual that I have telling me what it is for. Can someone explain what it is used for?

It's for the reverse sensing system. It allows you to turn it on or off. It's on by default. When you press it, the word "off" lights up on the bumper.

Thank You very Much. That will be handy for me as the beep beep beep is very annoying when backing my fiver.

No problem. BTW, I meant to say "button" not "bumper".

It kind of makes you wonder what kind of minds were sitting around the table when they decided on that symbol. I wonder what the ones that were not used looked like?

I bet everyone at that table gets paid way to much too

I am glad they made a button to turn it off! backing up the trailer without it work make me crazy
