Aux. fuse box
I am adding an additional fuse box for my '68 F100 and wanted some help in wiring it. I had planned to use the extra lead off of my positive battery cable to connect to a relay triggered by an ignition hot wire to send power to the fuse box. What gauge wire should I use between the battery and the relay and from the relay to the fuse box? Can I use one of the three prong headlight or horn type of relays that are already used in my year truck or do I need a special type? I have seen some with a lot of terminals and they look like they would be a lot more complicated to hook up, something I could do without. The primary reason I'm adding this fuse box is to power extra gauges and other accesories that require an ignition hot source and the original harness is so old that I don't want to start spliceing all over the place.
