2011 Center console swap

I have a 2011 F250 XL Supercab with the front jump seat. If I get a full center console does anybody know if it can be swapped in? I know it goes all the way to the dash because it has rear air vents in it so I assume my factory cup holders would have to come off. I won't be anywhere near my truck for 4 more months so any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Nobody has done it yet AFAIK. It's been asked before but there is never a definitive answer.

The problem seems to be how it integrates with the lower dash. After the cup holders come out, the ducts need to be arranged and the wiring for the rear of the console needs to be connected somehow.

If you find anything else out, I'd love to hear it because I would like the full console myself someday.

You could put an 08-10 console in easy.

Have you done it or are you just speculating? We're talking 2011's here. If you've done it or know someone who has please clue us all in.

I know I have seen pics of it done, it supposedly bolts right in. I think there were some interior color changes for 2011 though. I really want the new 2011 console though, I think it is much better. Hopefully in the coming years Ford will start selling them.

Ford will sell them alright. Just like they did with the 08-10 consoles. They dont sell them as a console assembly.....you will have to purchase the components individually.

Take a deep breath though and open your wallet wide. The 08-10 console components list prices total something north of 1300 bucks, although Ed the parts guy and silverstate ford (both site sponsors) prices are discounted.

It took nearly a model year before the 08 consoles started showing up on ebay as take-offs from the upfitters. Thats how I got mine. They quickly soared from 129 dollars each to over 500 in some cases. Got mine for 149 plus shipping.

I personally will be on the lookout for a 2008-10 console. It does not mount to the dash, so you have that space and the pull down cup holders. As to color, I have black interior, so paint to match s/not be too much trouble. As to mounting, I am almost positive (not 100%) sure the mounting on SD seats has not changed from 2008-11. If someone knows this one way or another, I am all ears.

I think they are different colors. 2011 states color as Steel Grey and 2008-10 states Grey Stone. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
