Chip for 300 I-6
I just bought a '91 F-150 short box with a 300 I-6. I'm trying to squeeze all of the power I can out it. I've already chosen my exhaust, intake, and all those other little things, but I'm wondering about a computer chip. Do some chips work better for certain engines? Or is there just a good brand of chip that works well with everything?

The chip in your truck is soldered to the motherboard - you have to use a plug-in module on the front of the EEC, or have an EEC custom-burned. Some people actually have the chip desoldered and a socket installed, but that's GOTTA be expensive & delicate.
