Im looking for someone in the Clarksville, TN area that has replaced their head gaskets and installed studs. Would like to pick your brain Maybe even have someone do it besides the dealership. We'll see. Thanks.

I predict you'll get lots of hits with this thread.
Not in the area, but I've put a half-dozen sets of studs in over the years at the Ford shops. Pick away!
I can tell you this, when torqueing the nuts down, be careful your socket or driver doesn't break, you end up in the emergency room. Ask me how I know.
Thanks for the brain picking offer. I'm at a point that I dont have the time to do it myself with work and other commitments and that is why I was looking for someone local. If I don't find someone I'll have to let the dealership do it. The truck is at the dealer now and they diagnosed it as bad head gaskets.
Beware the easy diag; "It needs head gaskets." EGR coolers fail far mor often than head gaskets. Not that they don't fail, but.... Is your truck modified in anyway (engine performance-wise?)
Truck is stock. Before I bought it I had an Oasis run that didnt show any major issues. After receiving the title, I contacted the previous owner and found out where he had his service done and contacted them. They were willing to fax me the service records they had. It showed in the last 6 mos. they had replaced the FICM, the oil cooler, egr cooler, and the degas cap for puking fluid. All this work was done within the last 2000 miles or so. However they are in Texas and I am in TN.
On my trip the degas bottle puked and the truck gave the high temp warning. I pulled over and let it cool off and then added water to the bottle. Later in the trip the wrench light came on, so I "limped" home. Yesterday the Ford dealer replaced the degas bottle and cap and then tested the pressure. It was at 20 psi after driving around the block. They also state that the oil cooler is bad again. They did say it would be replaced under warranty but the whole job is still gonna cost around $3100. Ouch!
I have no problem loading it on a flatbed if the price is right
I had a local 17 year ex-Ford Diesel mechanic install my Bulletproof Oil & EGR coolers and he thought they were awesome. I'm real pleased with my $3k investment.
My local Ford Dealer wanted $1400 "just" for a new Ford Oil cooler installed - that made my decision even easier.
Now, my EOT sits right @ 188/190 just like my ECT.
