I have no sig sorry, not sure how to make one, but here is what I have: 1996 F350 crew 2wd with auto. I had Tymar intake and MBRP for a while, but just recently added Rosewood stage 2s (180cc), SRP1 HPOP, and Beans elec fuel, and DP Tuner. I added all of these at one time along with gauges. After the install was complete the truck started what i would call pretty quick considering all that I added, and ran great. I have not run the truck very much, but it is very hard to start after it sits, even for 5 min, but eventually cranks. Not sure if this is normal, and if over time it will get better? There were no issues before the mods, so i'm a lil perplexed. The fuel prssure gauge on the regulator does drop pressure after a short amount of time, but the HPOP is full to the top. Any suggestions would be much apreciated.
^^^^x2 what mike said. also how hard and how many miles have u driven the truck. with new injectors it can take some time and hard runs to get the air out of the system.
I may have jumped the gun with this thread, I just finished the mods last night, and have only driven just a lil bit, less than 20 miles. Hopefully it will work the kinks out itself, but thought I would ask those with more experience.
OK, that makes sense. I was wondering about the fuel pressure drop, normal for just getting it going. After awhile you should not see a drop with that Efuel. As far as the air in the oil lines, I drove mine right after I started it for 160 miles without stopping and the next morning it still wasn't quite right starting.
When I talked about the drop in fuel pressure, I was not clear. The drop in pressure is when I kill the truck, and it is not runnin. I just didn't know if it should hold that 60psi til the next time I crank it. I went out this mornin to start it for work and boom, it cranked much better. We will see, who knows I may have installed a gremlin and didn't kno... Lol
Just curious, Fifthwheel, did you have your tuner flashed for the stage 2's or is it set for your stock injectors or stage 1's? Also, with all that added beef, are you running an open exhaust or is it still stock?
I added the injectors, HPOP, and tuner at the same time, so the tuner is programmed for both. The only thing that the tuner is not tuned for is the electric fuel. Yes I do have MBRP exhaust, 3"dp to 4" out the back. It seems like my EGTs are pretty warm, a short burst when I'm in 60hp mode and she at 1200*. I have an H2E that I would like to put on, but need to order the Carson S. kit. I hope the new turbo along with I.C. will help with that, cuz towing my 5er will not be possible otherwise.
with thoes mods you will need an intercooler to even come close to having fun with your truck. i put the intercooler in with my 2s but not with the piping untill i came up with how to do them, man oh man she got warm REAL fast, i couldnt do much of anything with out worrying about cooking a piston. get that taken care of an the turbo and your wont have to worry about egts for a long time.
as for my fuel pressure its weird, after 5 minutes it will be at zero and sometimes it will still hold 40+ lbs over night? its never consistent lol
Thanx for the help, turbo and I.C. for sure is in the plannin, jus not in the budget. Good thing is, I already have the turbo. I am very pleased with the performance now, but those EGTs are scary. Its hard to have a truck that will, and wants to GO, but you just can't due to heat. I have driven it today, and starting issues seem to be gone, Praises for that.
