Carter carb trouble
i have a 78 f250 with a 429 in it, not sure what kind of carter i have but the only numbers i could find on it were stamped on the front passenger side at the mount bolt. they are 3069 9666S, what do i have? and then my 4bbl dont work, the butterflys in the back of the card dont open at all. how do i fix? would rebuild it but dont know what kind of carb i have and there was no plate attached anywhere with any id numbers on it.

They might be vacuum secondaries... You won't see them open when you twist the throttle linkage but once your engine starts sucking enough air they open. Put your finger on them and see that they move freely. not sure on the size though try googling it?
