one month untill i get my motor mounts, ball joint conversion with disc brake conversion and power steering conversion for the monarch. They are sitting in vegas waiting for my uncle to bring them up in his motor home
o ya its sitting in my driveway, 460/c6. also has swing pedals, power windows power steering (use some of it) MC & brake booster, rear end possibly, steering column, cross members driveshaft etc. its a 77 grand marquis i traded that 77 f250 with the 390 to ryan's dad
im looking forward for the snow to disappear so i can get into this car up to my elbows. I need to take body off frame, blast frame and repair a few odds n ends, set up and install motor mounts and tranny x member, install ball joints etc, box frame (thinking about removing the stock frame x brace and replace with a k member to give me more clearance for my exhaust). I need to finish sanding down the body and a bunch of other things.
i spent the last couple weeks building a work bench so the car stuff was on hold for a bit
so i had a little time this evening to get in the shop and get a little dirty. Removed the fuel tank. Good thing i did, not only was it a huge pain in thebutt but there was also a softball size hole in the top of the tank opposite the filler tube and sender. Looks like im looking for a new tank too....... pics to follow when i got more time
kinda got the shaft on my shipping from the states so im kinda sitting on it until i get brave and buy the thing but im thinking it souldn't be too bad for shipping etc so i might bite the bullet pretty soon
unrelated update, i got freshly machined 292 y block in the shop right now getting ready for assembly for the father in laws 32 ford roadster project. 0.30 with an iskey cam, flat top pistons, high flow oil pump, polished t bird valve covers and rams horns or possibly Fenton headers. We took in 2 blocks 6 heads and 16 pistons and rods and got all the best parts worked over and cleaned up plus all gaskets mains bearings and seals for assembly. Should be pretty neat when its together. Keep an eye out for a black and red roadster next summer in Stoon!
O got a new address for shipping for my front end components for the Monarch so should be ordering them soon
