Tired and a little sore. I drive a 3/4 Ton 2-wheel drive van for work. I had complete white-out for about 5 seconds, hit a drift, and then the right front tire dropped down a little. Turns out, the front tire had just gone off the shoulder (Hwy 3 has a steep shoulder). I don't know if it had rained up there before the snow fell, but there was a fair amount of glaze on the pavement. The wind was blowing so hard, could hardly keep my breathe when trying to shovel. Gave up and just stayed put. Sat about three hours before a group of vehicles came along. Co-worker that was out west Friday said it was down pouring rain around the Richardton-Taylor area.
Had to shovel the exhaust pipe open 3 times in the 3 hours. Damn thing kept blowing and freezing shut. I was sitting at just the right angle for the wind to blow that part of the van in.
Yeah, I still have my '89 CV. Need to throw in some new intake gaskets pretty soon so it's ready for summer.
My '90 Grand Marquis got t-boned on the driver's side last October, but I kept the car for parts. Only 9K miles on the motor and 82K on the trans. The car still ran and drove enough to drive onto a trailer and then into my storage unit.
I listed my modified '88 Grand Marquis for sale over at GMN. I'm thinking of moving on to something else for a while. Tons of parts to go with the car, too. I'm not really concerned if it sells or not, at this point.
I sure hope winter coughed herself out this time. Don't know if my sanity can handle much more.
So is everyone taking advantage of this nice weather? I sure hope it melts a couple feet of snow, I really don't want to shovel my fence line again. lol Hope all that snow weight doesn't bend any of the polls and what not.
Did you get the quirks tuned out of the wheeler Dave? I'm betting there's some nice drifts out there for you to play in.
That's going to be sweet to have your own personal track. I bet them cars are fun! I'll have to check yours out someday, I'm tempted to get another rc of some sort. How long does a battery last? I have met your little lab a couple times, she's cute! She must be a rare breed, being so small and all.
Boy you did get a good deal on your rc. I see on bisman people are selling a couple used ones for 300-400 bucks! So how are the new tires and lift? working out for you? Do you rub at all?
I know how that goes. I honestly think I've driven my truck a hand full of times in the last couple months. I figured every year I drive my car instead of my truck I save about 2k in just gas, and that was when the price was lower. If it gets much worse I might have to reconsider getting a camper.
I did notice when I filled the car yesterdaY, it was down 10 cents over the begining of the week. I want a camper too, I guess if prices on gas go too high, it will just be longer to save up between trips! Lol.
Ya I've heard that too. I fill a 5 gallon can n take home to put in our 50 gallon tank everytime I fill my car. That way Memorial weekend, we have gas for the wheelers.
Now that's a safe investment. Lol. Are you guys going to Wyoming again?
I realize after getting stuck again today, I really need to lock my diffs. These open diffs are worthless. Are you heading to the desert tomorrow with the usual crowd? I bet its a mess down there. lol
