I just purchased an '08 F350 with the factory navigation. There was no CD that came with it, and when trying to select the nav option, it says 'Invalide Disc Detected', when there is nothing in it anyway.
The place I bought the truck from says that the CD needs to be in for the nav to work. Is that true?
And which CD should I get, I see there are a number of options on Ebay with different versions.
Ya, when I bought my 08 a few months ago I was about to leave dealer lot and got out, asked where the nav disc is. They took one out of a 2011 truck for me. It's the bottom slot when the face opens up.
Thanks guys. I was reading through the manual and looking at the ones on Ebay. I think I have an understanding how this things works. I didn't realize the face of the radio came "down".
Still debating the cost of the most up-to-date CD vs. an older one, are there different features or just the 'most up-to-date' maps?
