Transmissoin Problems
I have a '95 F-150 with 302 V8 with about 115,000 miles on it. When I first crank my truck it has always idled up and warmed up for 45 seconds or so, but the other morning it idled up then came down rather quickly and the check engine light came on. The engine seemed to be running fine so I started down the road and before I got to 20 MPH the transmission was in overdrive and was shifting very bad, sometimes I could press the accelerator to the floor and it wouldn't change gears. The thing that gets me is that its been doing this off and on for the past week or so, one day it drives fine, no check engine light and no problems, and the next it is messed up again. I'm starting to think that maybe it could be some sensor or something, I've already tried the Idle Air Control Valve. Any suggestions on what else it could be or any sensors that could vary the way your transmission shifts? Thanks for all of your help.

your trans is going bad i have a 92 and had the same thang happin i had the trans rebilt less then a year ago then 2 months ago the motor went .now i am putin in an older motor and trans (20years older)i would be more then willin to part with the one i have . you can mail me at avaromshane@lycos.com if you want it.
