Cool.

(these are extra charactors because you can't make a post with less than 10 charactors, and "cool" is way less than 10)

As for the motor, I scored it out of a 427 cobra replica with 6,000 miles on it. It was built by a cobra builder in new britain, CT. Motor was dyno tuned. Has a 750 holley on top. Nothing crazy but it is streetable, and that is what I wanted.

What stall should I run with this motor?

Pics or BAN!

Cool thread!

good to hear you're sticking with th hawgs. no other tire compliments that style ford better. Good luck on your build!

Oh and what exhaust are you gonna run on that 390? I'm redoing the exhaust for mine here soon. headers, true dual 2.5" pipes with 40s.

And another good luck on a good set of hawgs, as you can't buy them anymore, factory in youngstown closed up last year. I got my set not long before that happened and i'm glad i did.

I'm not sure on exhaust yet, but I do have headers and it will be tru duals.

It sucks ground hawgs aren't made any more. They were a great tire. Not the greatest road manors but they wore great, looked great, and were great off road.

I think thats really awesome that your doing this for your friend. I would avoid the body lift. you will probably have more problems adjusting your steering column than just replacing a drop arm or whatever. looks really great. keep the pics comin

Took the summer off from the project, but still collecting parts. Motor, tranny and t case are in. Have some clearance issues with headers and oil pan. Also tranny cross member with c6 deep trans pan. I will get heavy into the project this fall. Need to save some money. About $15k invested so far and estimating another $10k to finish. I should prob just stop adding!
