looked at the alternater today, someone left it on the floor of the shed, and it was swamped from the rain[s] bearings are noisey, and I'm sure it's rusted inside. sorry. I still have plenty of regulaters tho. carbs are limited to holley 4bbls, and edelbrook 4bbls. sorry. we started coring a lot of stuff out when we decided to get ready to move to nc.

Just looked up a couple of old threads, on how the heat stove works and how it's ran, btw electric choke runs off the stat. lead of the alt. You think the reg should be replaced too at the same time?

I would replace the regulator 1st, the alternater may be ok. usually the points burn up in the regulators.

i know it has been a while since i have been around since my trans was blown and wasnt able to drive my power stroke. but i have sold it and picked up a running driving 77 f150. still have some little things to do (no brake lights, turn signals, tag lights, and some marker lights. but she made the 70 mile trip home from cecil county. even with a screw and silicone keeping the fuel pump from leaking out of the weep hole. so i should be around alot more now.

its a 460 out of an 84. c6 trans. has 3.55s on 35s but he gave me the 4.10s and a detroit locker for it. which i will probably sell. its already limited slip and the detroit wont work with the 3.55s and i dont need the 4.10s
