Carpe Diem - one bottle at a time!
I started out with every intention of going fishing, but my mutt ran loose and came back WITHOUT about 20' of expensive chain...
I finally carried out my burning desire to anchor Rufuss with a length of dang near BATTLESHIP CHAIN! It's rated at 590 Lbs. We'll see what he does now!
In the process I blew $160.oo (plus tax) on a brand new weedeater, and wore myself out with it. That is a piece of equipment I have been lacking for the last three years, and the new one is fully adaptable to my 'Quick Change' extensions - that include a bush trimmer and blower.
The power head is based on a 33cc two stroke made by Poulan.
I hope it lasts longer than it's predecessor...
Scotty - I hope you are ready to go fishing tomorrow, the temp got up into the mid sixties today. I couldn't have asked for better.

I'm lucky - "Spring ahead - Fall back" has nipped me in the behind more than once, but today all I had to do was fix a youngsters bike tire. I taught the young fella how to keep the tire lined up with the inner tube so you can find the hole in the tread and make sure nothing was still in it to bust the tube again.
I think I did a good job. Quote:
"Why do we never use a sharp object like a screwdriver blade to get the tire off the rim?"
"Umm - because you can make a lot more holes in the tube..."
"Why do we want to find the hole in the tire even after we fix the inner tube?"
"Because there could be a thorn still in the tire?"
"Exactly!"
~Etc...
The only thing that marred it was his Dad came up the driveway and made it seem like a national crisis that the kid was not at home. Of course - he had to show up just when I was uncapping a well deserved brew!
They consider me some sort of a dangerous eccentric...
In some ways I probably am
