I am sure some of you folks can tell me about using a Diesel vacuum pump for brake assist in a gasoline vehicle that does not produce enough vacuum at idle.
i know what you need, but i am not knowlegable to get you through this.i'm sure a guru will pick this up and help you.good luck. maybe you overdid your build.stay tuned as this is the best bunch of f-e guys anywhere.
The vacuum pump bolts to a bracket on the front of the engine and is driven by the accessory drive belt.
The problem for you might be that your engine would rev higher than a diesel, not sure if that would matter.
An alternative would be to convert to Hydroboost brakes where the power assistance is supplied by the power steering pump with no vacuum involved.
idi's had bracket, belt and pump as stated above.my 03 6.0 has a very small electric pump mounted ahe inner fender, passenger side.iguess you will have to look at the different setups and try to make an informed decision.good luck
