We have two techs that support the company's northern HQ facilities... About 600 workers here, and everyone has a PC work station. I'm sure I'm low on the priority list since I'm IT... It looks better if IT takes care of our 'customers' before their own. Problem is, I can't take care of my customers very well. I did manage to find another work station that has some of the tools I need installed on it. Sure glad the guy that it belonged to retired 2 weeks ago. Otherwise I'd be S O L.

My boss thought it would be best if I tried to be productive.
My coworkers are all teasing me since I'm sitting in the cubicle of a very crabby guy that retired 2 weeks ago. So I've started responding with insults like he used to give. Lol

I've thought about applying for the retired guy's position... He was a database administrator, which I used to aspire to becoming. But, I've been so buried in the app development side for so long, I don't know if they'd consider me.

They aren't saying what the fix is or what caused the problem. A bunch of PC's have some sort of dll file missing, but they don't know why. Whatever the fix was, made my PC worse... Lol. I'm such a trouble maker.
