RIP My Coffee Maker

Why did you have to go away???

And why in the hell did you leave me in the morning???

Sorry, this is probably more traumatic for me...

I take it this was a long term relationship? At least with coffee, but had you been with the appliance for awhile too?

Yes, we've been together for a few years. It was a pretty cool coffee maker, made by Kitchen Aid, she was part red plastic/part stainless steel, stainless steel Thermos carafe, made a great pot of coffee. She left behind many empty coffee mugs...

Use this as an excuse to get yourself a really good coffee pot. Become a coffee snob, like me!
This is what I have at home:
Cuisinart Grind & Brew Thermal™ 12-Cup Coffeemaker.
Cuisinart Webstore Grind & Brew Thermal™ 12-Cup Coffeemaker

A llittle pricey, but it makes incredible coffee.

We have a Keurig Single cup coffee machine. It's nice because it seems everyone in the house has a different schedule and so making a pot of coffee every time someone wants coffee gets kinda ridiculous . Especially when we will only drink a cup or two out of a whole pot.

This is the one we have: Keurig brewing system

I like those machines. But aren't the coffee pods pretty expensive for them (I think they're the ones that use pods )?

My brother and Mom both have these. I really like the Donut Shop coffee they offer for them... The only problem though is I drink a pot of coffee by my lonesome everyday. I think that route might be wasted on an addict like myself!

Well some machines use pods and some use cups. This machine uses k-cups and I believe they are 50 cents per. They work good for us because of everyone drinking at different times. If you have a bunch of people drinking coffee then a coffee maker with a pot would be better for sure. Also if you drink a bunch of cups throughout the day then the pot would probably be better or it might get kinda of expensive. Then again if you really like your coffee it's still better then going to a coffee shop.
