I am looking for a good set of Mud Flaps for my new truck. Any suggestions on ones that look good and are functional too. Ease of installation isn't a huge priority but would help.
Thanks for you help.
I will always recommend Husky's molded (contoured) mud guards. I had one that was bent completely backwards at one point. The bottom edge of one of the rear mud guards was bent to where it was almost touching the bed of the truck while four-wheeling, and it bounced back like nothing happened. No stretch marks, cracks, etc. And, they did their job of keeping rocks, mud, snow, and ice off of my step bars, rockers panels, and bottom corner of the bed.
As an alternative, I do like most everything from WeatherTech. It may be more expensive than some of the competitions products, but they do seem to build good products. Hence, I would recommend giving them a look even with no real experience with their mud flaps.
I just installed Duraflaps on my truck. I got the ones with the diamond plate inserts. Look great and pretty easy to install. 2011 F250 crew cab Lariat
Do you have a picture of them? I tried to search for them but the few sites I looked at did not have them for the 2011.
I don't have pics yet because I am waiting to get all my accessories done. I still have some RECON lights to put on. I got the mudflaps on Amazon.com. Do a search on Amazon for the part number and you will find them.
I had weathertec installed on my 2009. They fit very well and went on easy. I have an extra set of front mud flaps for my 2009 if anybody is interested... I've been looking for a set for my 2011 DRW. Anybody recommendations for DRWs???
Thanks for all the input here and how fast everyone replied.
I ordered the WeatherTech ones. Just liked that there were no holes to drill and that made sure they would be straight. Read a lot of reviews for all of them, they just seem the best for me. Durability was there for all 3 brands listed and I think they are all in the same class that way. It just came down to ease of installation.
Thanks again for all the help.
I will update on them when I get them and put them on.
