who has used or knows someone who has used edelbrock performance heads complete(50 state legal)? What realistic power do they provide? I am looking at these for a 95 351w f-150. Also, what products are out there that have the best bang for the buck. I have intake, gibson exhaust 2.5, msd6al, and am looking for a fabricated y pipe(for a swap, 300 to 351). i want to get about 300 hp and am weighing my options on what to do.
Bassani Xhaust has a y-pipe for 86-93 5.0 f-150s, and around the same model year 5.8 trucks, check the website, I just found the pipes by accident.......also, you will run into computer issues with the speed density FI system, too much head(verify).
I havent used the Edelbrock Intake, I am curently puting in a Power+Plus Intake, I was told at the Parts store that they dont give as much HP as the Edelbrock Performer Series, but are better for daily drivers on gas mileage and such. If you want good HP go with a Edelbrock Cam Intake and Carb Package. I have heard nothing but good things about them. And they give the best idle that I have ever heard from a cam.
sorry, I just read the post again and seen that you said (heads) and not intake... I know 2 people who run them for drag cars, one is a Fairlane 500 and the other is a roadrunner. They both swear by them and also like the fact that they now come with crane cam roller rockers.
