Starting

If I just touch the starter and quickly release the switch, the engine continues to turn over until it starts. Does everyones 2010 F-150 with a 5.4 do this?

Yep, 09s too... you're just telling the computer to start the truck.

One touch integrated start (OTIS) - has been in most Ford vehicles by early 2000. System also prevents restarts when engine is already running. It will continue to crank for up to 10 seconds automatically.

And before someone else states it, this information is in the owner's manual.
