i think i had buyers remorse for a few hours after ordering.
i have been looking at tires and wheels for a while now and finely made up my mind on some.
i looked at goodyear, duratrack, mt/r with kevlar( my first choice) toyo open country mt, in 315/75/16. every one on national back order.
i told the guys at work they could not make rubber with out me, lol i work for goodyear as a welder and am out on sick leave.
i really liked the fierce attitude mt. it is a 10 ply E rated tire.
3 tire shops said it to was on back order.
i called a shop about 60 miles from me that found 4 of them so i drove over and ordered them.
i now have 325/65/18 tires and pollished allum. wheels they look good clean but im tired of polishing them, and i can get 315/75/16 that is almost the same size for about 80$ less each.
so i wound up getting new rims, black motto metal 16x9 and fierce attitude tires 315/75/16
but i have to wait till next wednesday or thursday for them to come in.
ill post some pics when i get them on.



on a side note,
thanks clay, i had ordered an ICP sensor and it came in a few days ago.
i put it on this morning and it was pretty easy, i did have to take off my alternator to get the old one off.
i washed all the oil out of the vally and will check in a day or so.
my old one was leaking pretty bad.
got a new 6637 filter and a few cool riffraff stickers.

 

What's the deal on national back order on so many tires? My wife tried to order some Nitto tires and got the same story about a back order.

 

i would like to think its me off work lol.
but for real its crazy. i told my wife if that many poeple wanted tires you would think they would make more.
we make like a few hundred thousand pounds of rubber a day at the goodyear rubber plant, we or the biggest producer in the US.
we sell to whoever will buy, like dunlop, kelly,bf goodrich, kumho, perreli, cooper,and more.
all i can think is maybe people or like me and have to wait till imcome tax return time so many people or buying at same time,
but still you think they would make more of what sells good.
they told me they could not get any MT in goodyear, fierce, nitto, toyo. in 315/75/16
they had some in one size down. but with my lift 33'' tires would look to small.
one guy found a set of fierce attitude in canada if i would pay like $300 shipping.
just lucky i found a shop that could get 4 . the shop guy said he had 10 storehouses he could order from.
i know brandon drumond has a set of these tires, hope i like them.
i read some of his post and he said good stuff about them when he first bought them.
hope he still likes them and they or holding up on our heavy trucks.
i like the looks and the heavy mud tread.
i spend alot of time on a 100 acre farm i lease , with a 50 hp tractor with eather a brushhog or harrow disc attached on my trailer.
if i get stuck (and i have) its a 2 mile walk to the next house .
the one time i got stuck the tractor was at home.
