C6 possibly whining?
'89 2wd F150, 63,000 original miles.
I've been noticing for a couple of days, the transmission has a light whine noise. The noise gets worst as speeds increase (up to a point where cab wind noise takes over), or when manually shifting it, as RPM's pick up.
Fluid and filter new from last summer (~5000 miles ago). Did a complete flush, not just droping the pan.
Level is perfect, still nice shiny red. Shifts like brand new!
I'm still not 100% sure if it's the rear end, or the transmission, but i'm leaning towards tranny.
What can it be?
