2000 Excursion HID lights

I bought my 2000 Ex a while back with HID lights. I noticed the lights were pointing too low... I adjusted them the best I could but they still seem low. Is there a poor mans way of adjust the lights correctly?

are they aimed low or do they just seem to look low? follow me? most hid kits (cheap junk) throw light in all directions and they have to be aimed pretty low as to not blind oncoming cars. those "kits" arent really designed to work with a halogen reflector headlight housing. many will disagree with my statement, and they say they work great for them, but,..... Thats why I made my own "real, projector" hid lights from a range rover.

how did you make urs from a range rover i agree with you hids are only to work at there best when they are in projectors cuz u have to cut the light.
They sell a projector kit on ebay but i heard the hid gets too hot and is close and melts the lense.

sorry, old pic. hid lights usually dont put out the heat but anything is possible with the ebay kits. as for mine, i opened the factory housing, and put a set of projectors in, aimed, and resealed the housings. the ballast is in a sealed box near the headlights.

bought the truuck with them but they are not projectors. I would feel better if the lights at least went all over the place, but the only light up the road in front of the car about 6 to 8 feet and they dont light up the overhead signs on the highway or the signs on the side of the roads

Go to a shop that has the proper setup to aim lights... my shop did mine in about 15 minutes...cost me less than $20 and I know they are properly aimed.
