I'm thinking it's called a level sensor. It sits behind the front wheel attached to the frame. It heas a lever attached to it and it lets the compressor know if that side needs air in the bags. I need to replace it but don't know what it's called or where to get one? Please and thank you.
Most likely you will have to get from a Ford dealer only. Not sure if other companies have an "aftermarket" part. You have 4 corner load leveling suspension I assume. What is happening that makes you think that part is bad. Also, you just can't replace it easily. Once you do, you need to have it calibrated to your vehicle. A dealer usually has to do this. There is a procedure to doing it. If you just put it in, chances are it will not work properly. It's the sensor for ride height. Good Luck!
In the time being, is there a way to manually inflate or jump a switch or relay to inflate, so I could at least drive it to where it has to go? I'm not sure if its a good idea to drive it with the left side bottomed out.
If you're looking for the lever item (#2) in this picture then click the above link. It's $36.55 and you might want to contact them to verify left and right side part numbers so you get the correct one.
