have an 82 econo e-100 with a 300cc inline 6 with 80k miles.

just wondering if i can put this motor and tranny into a 80's or newer ranger?

has it been done before?

has it been done? or is it to much work?

It's been done. The thread is probably 5 years old, and searching it out could be an afternoon's work.

Last I checked, the guy had it running, and reported it to be great due to the torque. And then nothing.

The engine is long enough to cause issues with the radiator and cooling fans.

Whatever floats your boat, but imo, a 302 in a Ranger makes a lot more sense, just after the stock 4.0.....
