Hello. My name is Brandon and I am new to this forum. I just recently purchased the second Ford truck I have ever owned, a 1989 Ford F150 4x4 with the 4.9L I6 and a 5-speed trans. I was wondering if anyone even cares about that old argument anymore? I own, or have owned, a vehicle or two from all of the Big Three.
But I have owned many different vehicles Ford and Chevys,VW's, and a couple of Dodges.
I like alot people like Chevy becouse of interchange, and there trucks are easiest to lower. Ford is not big on interchange, and the I-beams don't help the street custom scene. Dodge is easier then Ford, but they have a small and annoying scene with fewer parts.
But I bought a 66 F100 becouse I was doing re-search, and found out about the CV swap. Although I have been wanting something different so I probily would of Z'd a dentside CS F250 as a same ol same ol slammed chevy wouldn't of cut it for me.
If you go down the main forum page a few lines from here to the "Ford versus the Competition" page, you will see how many people do care.
Congrats on buying a Ford.
