I've done a search and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.
We were driving on South Beach over the weekend and hit some pretty rough spots in the road. The compressor doesn't kick on and the rear sags. The fuses all check good and I've ensured the suspension switch is still on. I would think that if the problem was a bad air line, the compressor would still try, but nothing happens.
pdq probably hit the nail on the head. I know as our trucks age all sorts of components on the air ride go bad. I fought and fought it on my wifes expy, and finllay threw in the towell and switch to a coil/shock system from rockauto.com. The ride quality is the same, and I have less hassles. I hope you get yours figured out.
PDQ was right. I unplugged the relay, shorted the mains on the plug to make sure the compressor kicked on, then wrapped the relay with my kleins. I plugged it back in, and it leveled right out.
