Zaino for me too. Any word on wheel polish? Does that Mothers power ball work good? One thing I have been focusing on is the leather seats, use Lexol cleaner with water. Then hit it with the lexol condtioner. Look great.
I've used Meguiars Hot Rims to clean the wheels. Amazing stuff..and believe it or not NuFinish on the wheels once a year keeps the brake dust from sticking. You can clean them with the NuFinish as well if you don't mind using some elbow grease.
I had the dealer apply the xylon wax it cost $600 but it came wit a 5 year warranty for my paint. They said I no longer have to wax but I do it anyway cause I love the shine and softness that meguires brings out
I just used the clay bar and waxed my truck this weekend.. I have always used the Meguiar's NXT wax (blueish colored bottle). The best part about this stuff is if you do get some on the plastic, it doesnt turn it white. Nothing screams hack wax job more to me than wax stains all over the plastic
Used Zaino on my Vette (sold) and '05 F-150 XLT (sold). Great products and they last a long time.
But, since I bought the '11 XLT I wanted an interior and exterior protection package. Had stained seats on the '05 XLT and it seemed like the more that I tried to clean them, the worse they seemed to get.
So I bought the Perma Plate package from the dealer that includes paint protection as well as upholstery repair/replacement for stains that they cannot get out. The dealership does the first application and I do them afterwards. I am really impressed with the way the truck looks. The difference was very noticeable when I peeled off the FX4 decals. The paint under the decals did not have the same richness or depth, if that makes sense.
I can't believe some of the poor choices of waxes some are choosing to protect their $50-60 thousand trucks. I mean no disrespect, to each their own. I may not be able to contribute much technical advice to the operation of these of these new diesels but I know paint protection.
Something on your paint is better than nothing, but there are MUCH better choices over the counter than Nu Finish. Most Meguiars products are decent. NXT is probably the best over the counter product. Zaino is the cats ***, great product. Just my opinion guys, no harm intended.
How are you liking that White Platinum? I'll be in the market soon and I have never had a white vehicle. I've looked at a few and I love the metallic appearance. If I don't get white, I'll probably go black or green. Would you change?

Loving the White Platinum, just got out of a oxford white 05 F250 and thought was due for somthing diffrent untill I seen this truck. Lots of compliments, no regrets.
I have never been a fan of white vehicles and I have never owned one. However, there is a White Platinum KR 2011 here in my town and that is one great looking white truck.
Seeing that truck changes my mind a little about the color (as long as it is the platinum).
Just another opinion of someone who has *looked* at one.
I have had white trucks and they are great for not showing dings and dirt. I also had a black Chevy 2500HD once and will never have a black truck or another Chevy again. The black looks great if you don't ever use your truck and keep it waxed in the garage. I have the pearl white on a Subaru forester and it looks nice. I think personally I get tired of white faster.
All my vehicles have been black or white. White is easier to deal with, obviously, but when clean, the black was dressier. No surprise there.
Though many of the mentioned paint protection products are very good, in my area of unpaved roads, only the best synthetic products protect.
I had my truck treated 4 months ago, and when you wipe off the mud, you can still feel the gloss. I have tried many other products, but they don't last here, and the magnesium chloride sprays we use on the roads destroy most finishes very quickly.
I heard some official at a recent town hall meeting that they may pave one of our roads in the coming decade! I about had a heart attack.
Currently, my two day long truck cleaning lasts about sixty feet.
But some people never learn...
