Does anybody know what headers to buy for a 1965 ford 1/2 ton f100 that has a 302 installed in it. This truck has power steering and 3 speed column shif. Thanks
Hi James Welcome to our section of FTE Pull up a chair and set a spell. We have some of the best question answerers in the world right here.
I guess you know you have a transplant engine, as the FE 352 was the only V8 offered that year. All 65-79 trucks are pretty much the same from the rear cab bolts to the front bumper. So you will need to look for apps. for any 70s model to get a fit.
You probably wont take the advice, but run dual Flowmasters and forget headers, unless you will be racing the truck and turning it over 4000 rpms. The stock manifolds flow pretty good and are not a loud or hot or PITA as headers.
Don't try the "Summit" house brand for the latter trucks with a 302 they fit lilke crap. I used to have a set for a 69 bronco that were made by Cyottie that were full of holes but fit much better. They were gobbled up by Holley and no longer made.
