steering problems

Ok, so I got it all apart and found that the problem was in the box itself. I took that completely apart and found metal shavings in the box that had come off the shaft gear and luckily had not marked up the sector shaft or gear. So I ordered new bearing and seats as well as new bushings that I pressed in and honed myself. It all went back together like butter, filled it will grease and it is better than I bought it. I am still gathering the parts to do the toyota conversion and then I will use this box on my 28 hot rod. Thank you all for the help and if anybody needs any help in the future, taking one of these apart of putting them together feel free to ask because I think i have it down pat now.

Glad you got it all taken care of.I've a box awaiting rebuild,maybe you want to start a little sideline business?Of course,me being the typical Ford truck owner,I only have a $20.00 budget,and that would need to include shipping..........LOL
