As many of you seen i have posting alot with doing this tranny swap. Now i am stuck with a giant auto tranny in my garage that i don't want. I would like to sell it but have no idea what it is worth. The truck has 166k and that tranny was rebuilt at 110k according to the PO. He says they got rid of all the aluminum parts and put in the heavy duty parts. The torque converter was slipping and that was the reason for the swap, plus i don't like autos. so long story short what is an E4OD worth with no TC
i don't think she's worth anything as she sits Jayme.
you could try giving it way.but whoever takes it,needs to spend the time to install it,a new front seal, fluid and converter.then what if its still trashed from TC metal and it's junk? the guys out the trans fluid, seal, and TC.
i wouldn't even try running it if it was free.
i would have however tried a new TC pump seal and flush if it where in the truck before replacing the trans.who knows,it may have outlasted the truck.would i take this unknown to try it even if you gave it to me? nah.
but hey,ya never know.someone might.
see, even if you give it away, somone has to gamble with $ for fuel to come get it,the hassle of installing it,fluid, and a converter.a guy could end up being in 4-500$ just to see if it still works.yikes.
