Hard starting, rough acceleration
I rebuilt my carter carb this weekend and have reinstalled it back into the truck. It ran better when I got it to run, the problem is it now starts very hard, if at all, and dies if I don't feather the throttle for awhile. I was wondering if anyone could possibly know what the fix is to this? Is the air/fuel mixture screw set wrong, or could it be the float? When it does run, it will lag at acceleration for a second, then the RPM's will climb up fast. Any help on this issue is much appreciated.

Took the top half of the carb off, adjusted the float to specs, it starts much easier didn't have to throttle it the second time, still has a slight hesitation when I start pressing on the pedal, however its only if I depress it slowly, if I floor it fast it won't hesitate.
