I saw a decent looking muffler for my truck and even heard it on youtube it was on a 99 F250 diesel of course lol.

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of it and knows whether it's a good muffler or not for our trucks.

I've heard a bit about aeroturbines....VERY pricey but supposed to be good.

Honestly I don't know of any real world data for them offhand but there might be something out there...for all they claim I'd personally like to see dyno results or something.

 

I have them on both my race car and a 4040XL in the truck (custom install, side exit). Don't believe the marketing hype, as EGTs went up over 100* (empty trailer) vs straight pipe, but it's surprisingly quiet. It killed all the turbo spool noises and almost stock sounding at low loads, but still roars at WOT. Still undecided whether I'll keep it or not on the truck, but love it on the car.

 

I installed the aeroturbine 20in non resonated muffler along with a 4in pipe that exits just after the ext cab. So with a 3in downpipe that's ceramic coated by Tymar performance to the 4in DIY exhaust the truck sounds pretty Awesome IMO. Plus my wife who drives it for now noticed better throttle response plus turbo spools up a bit faster at lower rpms too. The egt at idle is almost 100 deg cooler n hwy speeds 2k rpm the temp is a little lower.

 

my dad has one on his '99 7.3 and it sounds really good, the truck is stock other than that and the 5" turbo back system i have a video of it on youtube...
