Stall

Hey all I have a stock 2005 F 250 .Starts great no probs ..and runs great warm ,but of late it has been stalling out ...just like someone turned the key off ....pull off to the side cycle the key and she fires up ...got me stumped...Oil & filter and fuel filter just done but no change ......Any thoughts as i am new to problems with this ...the truck has 90 k onher and not a lick of probs

Could be a number of things ICP,IPR FICM ect. best to have it scanned for codes,6.0 is a tough nut to trouble shoot without a code reader.

Today it started fine run great till i ran it over to the mall then no way would it start.....crank and crank and nothing would not fire .....waited about half and hour and 'she fired up ...I don't get it? ran great all the way home...Going to take it in to the dealer Tomorrow after work .....hope its not too major?

On an 05 I would think it is the STC fitting if it hasn't been addressed already.

I second on the STC fitting. Definately sounds like a HPOP issue.

sounds like a failed injector coil.
an stc fitting would not just "shut down" the truck going down the road.

I truly think its electrical ...as it cuts out like someone turned the fuel off .then it restarted ok ...today it would not start afterrunning it over to the mall a 5 min trip ...dam near drained the batts getting her started ...but run A ok 20 miles home .....

I have a cheap code reader and no codes .....I am really leaning toward what Cheezit has to say ...Sounds more electrical......but thats just me...I work on the new 5.0 litre engine.Work in the repair bays at the engine plant...

sweet. I have heard there are soem aftermarket tuner issues with the 5.0

If it has a fuel heater, try unplugging it.

Will keep you guys posted going to drop her off at the dealer tomorrow night and see what it is ....I really like this truck and have never had nay real probs with it in 90K
