Anyone make one? I'm looking for a kit to re-build the front suspension, replace all the bushings, bearings, etc. Basically replace any and all of the parts that wear out. At some point in the next few years I'd like to have a camper on this truck again, so I figure I had better get the suspension up to the task. (the engine and transmission are another story) A kit for the rear axle would be nice too, but I think I could piece one together. The truck is my 2 wheel drive 1973 Ford F250 Camper Special with 7500 lb GVWR and DANA 60 rear axle, dual piston caliper brakes on the front, manual steering with power brakes.
Alright, thanks. I've got a couple of the catalogs, great stuff. I look through them often! As for the kit, I might just have to piece it together, I was hoping to avoid it, a kit would probably be cheaper (and easier!)
One quick question: does a 2wd F-250 (same truck as above) use kingpins? If so, anyone know what size?
my 76 f100 2wd has king pins. I am not sure of the size but when you give them your year model they should have the appropriate ones. I have looke at a set for mine but my problem was trying to decide between the nylon or brass bushings.
