Question Ac question

This may or may not be the right place to post this but I'll ask anyways. I have an 07 6.0 with 168k miles on it. My ac works fine running down the road but when I come to a stop light or idle for a few mins you can feel the ac getting warmer and not blowing cold. I've had a couple people tell me it is a fan issue. Would this be the clutch fan going bad? I had my brother inlaw put a set of gauges on to seem if it was low but the reading are good.

What are the ambient outside temps when this happens? My fan only tries to run at an idle when it's pretty warm outside. I never notice it in the winter. I'd be more apt to think you might be low on refrigerant, or you might have a weak pump. You'd need someone with a set of manifold gauges to know that.

The only way to test the fan clutch is with software like AutoEnginuity that will allow to you command the fan on and read the fan speed.
