6 cylinder
My grandpa gave me the 6 cylinder and 3 speed out of his 61 unibody. What is it? A 223 or 240?? I would like to know, but do not know how to tell with out pulling the head.

If it was the stock engine it is most likely a 223. There is a 262 option, but it was rarely used in half ton trucks.
The easy way to tell the difference is 240/300 have the carburetor on the right side, or passenger side.
For the 223/262 the carburetor is on the left or drivers side.
