If you have a Pull a Part near you and you don't mind getting your hands dirty you can save a few bucks. I just picked up a pinion yoke for nine dollars. Most Pull a parts salvage yards are on the net; you can check whats in the yard before you go. Also will show the price.

Not trying to be a smart a$$, just helpful. Right now I have no idea if we are talking about front axle or rear axle. Must be front if we're talking axle yokes. Only you, the OP can determine what axle you are seeking information about. Pictures or identifying numbers will help. Only you know what is actually in a truck that old as it could have been upgraded or downgraded.

it is the rear axle it is the part the drive shaft connects to and the bearing of the u joints connect to and it has little ears to keep them in and those are broken off

You are talking about the Pinion Yoke, not the axle yoke. If you don't have too much experience with vehicles, there is plenty of knowledgeable people to help out here.

This piece is referred to as an axle u-bolt flange, , the yoke is part of the drive-shaft. sorry for correcting, just trying to get everyone on the same page here.
